Events
One of the main challenges the environmental community is faced with today is the mobilization and organization of ideals and practices to the larger population and as such, or in real world terms, getting your message across. That’s why Cradle to Cradle participate in any given number of educational events and public exhibitions throughout the year. For instance this past year we held the Cradle to Cradle Festival in Berlin. The event spanned six weeks from January through March and featured an exhibition of the various innovations, materials, and products that have been designed and certified according to the Cradle to Cradle design concept. The Festival also served as an education platform, providing guided tours through the exhibition and workshops relating to various environmental and Cradle to Cradle topics. With over 6,000 visitors, the Festival turned out to be a huge success in spreading the word on Cradle to Cradle and rethinking the environmental paradigm for the betterment of the world. Since the Festival ended in March 2011, we have continued to participate in events and exhibitions throughout this past year, including in Hamburg, Sarajevo, and Münster. At present there is the Coburger Prinz Albert Design Forum’s “Ideen_Labor – Das Cradle to Cradle Design Konzept” (Idea_Lab – The Cradle to Cradle Design Concept) in Corburg, Germany. The event will spans the 28th of October through the 16th of November and features workshops on the background of the Cradle to Cradle design concept, its application, and how to innovate your own Cradle to Cradle ideas and projects.
